This dynamic four-module course introduces participants to UN-level knowledge in communication, negotiation, and cultural diplomacy, designed to help you express your authentic voice and build your impact as a cultural diplomat.

Through engaging and practical sessions, you will:

  • Master the fundamentals of diplomatic communication and trust-building
  • Learn to attract allies and establish authenticity through arts and humanities
  • Explore the art of storytelling as a diplomatic and creative tool across mediums
  • Develop a personal roadmap for success, grounded in purpose and values

Course Director & IOY Vice President

Kelly Crisp is a writer, writing professor, and workshop instructor. She has taught various courses including Introduction to Literature, World Literature I & II, Elements of Persuasive Writing, Rhetoric, Essay Writing I & II, various writing labs and workshops, and most recently, Fiction Writing at Columbia University in the City of New York. Her own writing has been published by The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Longreads, Publishers Weekly, and Audm. She is a founding member of International Organization of Youth, and Vice President.
